The Take

Combines three useful pieces into one local tool: board scraping, LLM-based fit scoring, and resume PDF generation via RxResume, with Gmail inbox linking for automatic post-apply tracking. The Docker-first onboarding and configurable LLM providers make it approachable for tinkerers, but extractor reliability, regional coverage, and scraping/ToS issues are the real tests — documentation and region-specific extractor robustness will make or break adoption.

Post Description

I built JobOps to automate the parts of job hunting that feel like repetitive ops work.

What it does:

Scrapes jobs from LinkedIn / Indeed / Glassdoor (+ UK-focused extractors) Scores job fit with your profile using your preferred LLM Tailors resume content and exports PDFs via RxResume v4 Tracks post-application email replies (interview/reject/follow-up signals)

It’s self-hosted (Docker), SQLite-backed, and designed so your data stays with you.

Quick start:

git clone https://github.com/DaKheera47/job-ops.git cd job-ops docker compose up -d # then open http://localhost:3005

Docs: https://jobops.dakheera47.com/docs/ Repo:https://github.com/DaKheera47/job-ops

I’d love feedback on: - extractor reliability across regions - scoring quality / model prompts - post-application tracking accuracy - onboarding friction and docs gaps

Runs fully in-browser and even supports using your own OpenAI key so nothing needs to persist on a server — a smart privacy-first choice. The voice interview coach, salary-negotiator scripts and job decoder feel like features someone built while actually job-hunting; solid, practical tooling, though it stops short of deeper integrations (LinkedIn export, ATS templates) that would make it indispensable.
