AI Analysis

MidCozy

608kb Rust binary, but Git already handles snapshots better.

Strengths
  • Zero runtime dependencies with 608kb binary size impressively small
  • File explorer shows backups directly for easy manual access
  • Simple CLI with create, save, and restore commands only
Weaknesses
  • No branching or merging capabilities like Git provides
  • Snapshot approach does not solve collaboration or code review needs
Target Audience

Solo developers wanting simple backup without Git

Post Description

I made Grove to kill the ugh factor of backing up rapid code iterations. It’s all CLI except the file and folder pickers. You make lists of files and folders, back them up, and restore your saves. Very forgiving UI. Would love feedback from any terminal lovers!!
