AI Analysis

MidSlickCrowd Pleaser

Yet another analytics wrapper when Plausible and Fathom already solve this.

Strengths
  • Visual picker for event tracking means no code changes to existing sites.
  • Conversational UI actually returns specific numbers, not just charts.
  • Clean onboarding flow with free plan for small sites.
Weaknesses
  • Natural language analytics already exists in PostHog and several GA alternatives.
  • No clear technical moat beyond chat interface on standard tracking.

Post Description

Sergei here, solopreneur and UX designer based in London.

I built Grandma Knows web analytics after seeing founders, designers and marketers struggling with Google Analytics and Hotjar.

Two main problems I noticed:

– Setting up event tracking requires code

– Getting answers requires digging through dashboards instead of just asking a question

Grandma Knows lets you:

– Ask questions about your website visitors in plain English, e.g. how many people come from LinkedIn? how many clicked on Subscribe button?

– Set up conversion tracking without any code: use visual picker on your actual website

– See the numbers you actually need and understand, e.g. 125 people scrolled to Pricing section today
