Duckflix, an open-source self-hosted media streaming platform
Bun and Elysia backend with torrent streaming is a fresh take on the Jellyfin clone.

Netflix UI for torrent streaming, but Jellyfin, Plex, and Stremio already solve self-hosted media.
Self-hosting enthusiasts, people who want to own and stream their media locally
Jellyfin · Plex · Stremio
Plank lets you:
- Browse a catalog of movies and tv shows and one-click stream while you download - Search for any movie or show in the catalog or in your library - Manage your media including refeching a media file with a higher quality torrent - Add your friends and family to your profile or make one for them - Filter low quality or untrusted torrents, add any torrent indexers you want - Add subtitles in 10 different languages
Everything is local and runs on device. I dont even have Posthog setup or anything.
If youd like to give it a try, I have a read-only demo here:
Note that the demo site doesn't actually stream any media for legal reasons
You can read our docs to spin up your own instance here:
Bun and Elysia backend with torrent streaming is a fresh take on the Jellyfin clone.
Gluetun namespace isolation beats firewall rules for leak-proof torrenting.
Home Assistant integration for network monitoring, but competitors like Speedtest.net and Netdata exist.
Open-source Buffer clone with unlimited seats, but maintaining ten social APIs is brutal.
Ratings overlay on Netflix, but Metacritic integration is coming and competing tools already exist.
Plex alternative with anime parsing, but Jellyfin already dominates the self-hosted space.
