Values-based investing is a crowded market dominated by giants like Betterment and Wealthfront.

Strengths
  • Clean, approachable UI that simplifies complex ethical investing criteria into simple questions.
  • Attempts to solve the 'how do I own what I believe in?' problem for retail investors.
  • Leverages AI to make personalized portfolio construction tractable for a solo founder.
Weaknesses
  • Landing page shows only a quiz; the actual portfolio engine and data sources are invisible.
  • Fiduciary complexity and data licensing costs make this a brutal space for a one-person team.

Post Description

I'd tried to find a way to treat choose which companies I owned just like I choose which products I buy or avoid based on what the company does and how it operates. Nothing was any good but AI has made this problem tractable for a one-man team so I gave it a shot.

The goal is to eventually allow more concerns/tilts and better personalization as I spend more time developing this.

Onboarding is the star: a VARK-adaptive quiz, a working demo login, and clear CTAs make this feel like a usable product instead of just a landing mock. That said, the meat — the ‘algorithmically validated simulators’ and AI coaching — is only claimed, not demonstrated; a small, interactive simulation or exported sample of model outputs would turn this from a nice UI walkthrough into something you’d actually test with users.
