●●SolidEye CandySolve My Problem

Live GitHub preview drag-and-drop editor, but Markdown and VS Code already solve this—low friction exists.

Strengths
  • Live GitHub-flavored rendering removes the push-to-GitHub debug loop; real UX win for README authoring.
  • 15+ block types and badge editor with icon picker show thoughtful UX design tailored to README patterns.
  • No backend/login = instant onboarding; client-side React app lowers friction versus SaaS alternatives.
Weaknesses
  • README formatting is not a painful enough problem to justify a dedicated tool—most developers use VS Code + extensions.
  • Competes against Markdown preview in every editor and dozens of README template libraries; unclear moat.

Post Description

I built this because I kept wasting time on README formatting -- badge URLs, table alignment, pushing just to check rendering.

It's a client-side React app. You drag blocks (headings, badges, code, tables, images, alerts) into a canvas and see exactly how GitHub will render them. When it looks right, copy or export.

No backend, no login. Source: https://github.com/ofershap/readme-builder
