AI Analysis

●●SolidSolve My ProblemShip It

Quiet-by-default web monitoring, but Google Alerts and ChatGPT tasks already solve this.

Strengths
  • Clear signal-over-noise philosophy: only notifies when condition is met, not on every run.
  • Multi-channel notifications (email, Telegram, webhooks) with fine-grained control.
  • Plain-language alert setup with community-shared alerts reduce friction significantly.
Weaknesses
  • Web monitoring via AI agents is crowded: Google Alerts, Perplexity Tasks, Zapier, n8n already exist.
  • Unclear how 'running summary' and source citation work technically—architecture not detailed.

Post Description

I built this for myself after cutting back on social media and realizing I was still opening tabs to check on things I actually cared about. Cutting back on the constant checking meant missing out, until I built something to check for me.

I tested other tools and the problem with Google Alerts is you still end up checking and dismissing. The problem with Perplexity/ChatGPT tasks is they always send output, even when nothing changed. I wanted something that stays completely silent unless a specific condition is actually met.

AlertMole runs an AI agent on a schedule. Each run updates a running summary of what it's found, citing sources and returning relevant URLs, but ONLY notifies you when your specific condition is actually triggered. No noise, just the signal.

I've been using it daily for about 2 months. Took me a while to share it, partly still polishing, partly the usual founder shyness about putting something out there. Some alerts I personally run:

- Check every Sunday if any Switch 2 emulator has been released or made meaningful progress - Notify me when Gemini 3.0 Pro or Flash reach GA or a GA date is announced - Notify me when vLLM supports beam sampling for its async OpenAI server - Notify me when the Steam Frame has its release date or price announced, check everywhere except reddit - Alert me if Denzel Curry announces a tour date or live performance in Spain, check every three days

At signup you get 250 free credits (each alert run costs 10), enough to run weekly alerts for months. Public alerts created by other users can be tracked for free with no credits.

Notification channels include email, web push, in-app, Telegram, and webhook, which is something Perplexity Tasks and ChatGPT scheduled tasks don't offer.

Happy to answer questions about how it works or the stack, also open to any feedback if you end up giving it a try!
